School Readiness

Is my child ready for Kindergarten? Today’s academic demands and expectations continue to increase for our children. No longer are they just expected to be able to “sit still,” “play well with others,” and be “potty trained”; today’s young students (4-6) are expected to know their colors, letters, shapes, and numbers. All the better if they are already sounding out words, grouping, and doing basic addition and subtraction. If you have concerns about your child’s level of ability going into Kindergarten, a quick screening may help set your mind at ease. We can set a baseline and measure growth over time, how your child responds to instruction, and whether you should be proactive in building in support.
